Ruin Bound: December Beach

December Beach

You put on my hat
With a manta ray glide
You put on my hat
And said, “Come inside.”
It was all you wore…
I followed

Under the mistletoe
You sickly lingered
Under the mistletoe
Torpedo fingered
Under the mistletoe…
Unwrapping

I drank chocolate milk
From a sun-dried tit
I drank chocolate milk
From a sun-dried tit
Tasted the ocean salt…
From your sandy hip

I’m sucking on silk…
I’m flirting with filth…
Scraping the bottom of the barrel
For a Christmas carol
To make me feel… like a little boy…
Scraping the bottom of the barrel
Selling all of my marrow
For a little joy…

Electric grapes
Light the wrinkled sheets
Familiar tastes
In these wrinkled sheets
Feeling out of place…
At the December beach

You put on my hat
And walked outside
You put on my hat
And didn’t say goodbye
It was all you wore…
But you wore it fine
